How to read the ratings

Support and est. defaults are rough guides for public MediaWiki sites (desktop or primary default). Minerva counts include mobile defaults.

  • CSS theming. How easy it is to restyle the skin with Common.css, site CSS, and CSS variables.
  • Mobile. How well the default desktop experience carries to phones and tablets.
  • Default look. Whether the stock appearance already feels distinctive without heavy CSS.
  • Maintenance. Longevity, MediaWiki compatibility, and how actively the skin is maintained.
  • Extensions. How reliably third-party extensions render and integrate with the skin chrome.
